2013 Rose Nolan Scholarship Winner Kathrina Chief Moon-Riley is from the Blood Reserve in Alberta. She was raised by her mother, who always taught her the importance of education.
Kathrina is entering her fourth year of Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge. This summer she was employed at the University of Lethbridge as a Research Assistant, where she learned how to write and submit grant proposals, conduct and transcribe interviews, and perform phonetic and statistic analysis on various kinds of data sets.
Since 2012, Kathrina has volunteered for the Canadian Red Cross Society in Lethbridge, and she will be applying to medical schools this fall.
