2013 Rose Nolan Scholarship Winner Ashley Knockwood is a member of Fort Folly First Nation in New Brunswick. She is entering her third year of Psychology at Crandall University.
Ashley has made the Dean’s List for the past two years, and has also completed her first year of three for the Youth Leadership Certificate through Crandall University.
For the past four summers she has been employed by Fort Folly First Nation to help organize and run youth programs at her local church, where she also volunteers as a youth leader. Air rifle target shooting is a big part of Ashley’s life and she has participated at the Canada Games with hopes to go the World Cup next year.
In 2010, Ashley was named New Brunswick Female Aboriginal Athlete of the Year and credits the members of Fort Folly for their great support.
