2015 Rose Nolan Scholarship winner Amanda Neufeld is a member of Skeetchestn First Nation in British Columbia. Amanda just completed her Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Indigenous Studies.
This fall Amanda will begin her Master of Social Work degree. She hopes to pursue a career as an Indigenous Youth Worker with a special focus on suicide prevention in Indigenous communities. Amanda volunteers for Parks, Recreation and Culture for the village of Lumby, BC and has also assisted at Lumby Preschool as well as on campus-for the Centre for the Study of Services to Children and Families.
Amanda has strong family values and is a positive role model for young people in her community and on campus.
