Abigail McCue 2012 Rose Nolan Scholarship Winner is a member of Curve Lake First Nation in Ontario and is going into her fifth and final year at the University of Toronto, Woodsworth College.
She is majoring in Canadian Studies and History and her career plans involve ensuring Aboriginal voices and considerations do not go unheard as development in Canada continues. Her path in university did not start out easy as she lost one of her roommates to cancer and also being away from home for the first time was difficult but she persevered.
While at school she has been an Orientation Leader each year along with many other social events including a Streetcar Pubcrawl, Movember Party, Christmas event and the Annual Awards Gala. Abigail was recently awarded by her peers the J.S. Woodsworth Student Award for Dedicaiton and Commitment to the Woodsworth Community.
She is also President of the Woodsworth Movie Club and tournament director of the Ping Pong Club.
