Rose Nolan Scholarship winners for 2011 will be announced on Thursday, August 4 and all winners will be personally notified by Ted. The Ted Nolan Foundation is pleased to announce that ten scholarships will be given out this year.

The Ted Nolan Foundation would like to thank all those who helped make our 2nd annual fundraising luncheon a great success. A special thank you to our host, Mr. Robert Irving, his staff, Sharon Thivierge, Maureen Cameron, and Pat Harknett for their generosity, time and commitment.

We would also like to thank our special guests Lieutenant Governor Graydon Nicholas, Phil Fontaine, Tim Horton’s SVP of Corporate Affairs Nick Javor, Chief Candice Paul, student representative Greg Francis, Superintendant Dianne Wilkins, and MC Marty Kingston. It was a good day for education yesterday as the Ted Nolan Foundation raised more money at its second annual luncheon in support of First Nations women seeking post-secondary schooling.

The event, held at the Delta Beauséjour Hotel in downtown Moncton, coincided with the annual general meeting of the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) being held in Moncton until today. A number of assembly members were in attendance, listening to a variety of speakers that included former AFN national chief Phil Fontaine.

The Ted Nolan Foundation would like to thank all who has purchased tickets and tables for our 2nd fundraising luncheon being held in Moncton, New Brunswick on Wed. July 13th, 2011.

The luncheon will be held at the Delta Beausejour Hotel beginning at noon. Purchased tickets can be picked up any time between 11:15 and 11:40 as doors will open at 11:45.

There will be a seating chart available. Also, tickets are still available so please contact Sandra Nolan at tsnolan@sympatico.ca.
